Justerini & Brooks is a fine wine and spirits merchant founded in St. James’s in 1749, originally to provide wine and spirits to the aristocratic households of London. The firm has been a supplier to every British monarch since the coronation of King George III in 1761. In 1749, Italian Giacomo Justerini travelled to London to try to win the heart of famous opera singer, Margherita Bellino; despite failing to do this, he stayed in the capital and established a wine merchant with George Johnson. In 1831, the business was acquired by Alfred Brooks and thus the name was born.
This 25 year old blend has been specially created from 25 whiskies and was released in 1999 to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Giacomo Justerini coming to London.
This is presented in a replica wine bottle shape from circa 1749.
