Wrecking, the practice of salvaging goods from shipwrecks, has long been steeped in myth along Cornwall’s rugged coastline. Tales of false lights luring ships onto rocks for easy plunder have captured imaginations. Coastal communities, often the first on the scene, would salvage what they could from the wrecks, seeing it as their right and a means of survival, but these were also the same people that would risk their lives to save sailors from the sea’s fury.
A rich and characterful 8 year old whiskey that uses an imported sherry cask-finished rye whisky (91% rye mash) as its foundation. This has then been finished in Cornwall for 12 months in an ex-Tennessee Whisky cask. (we’ll let you guess whose!)
