Founded by Leonard J. Russell Snr in 1936, Ian Macleod & Company Ltd have a distinguished history with a portfolio of quality brands and spirits. In recent decades, the company has acquired several distilleries including Glengoyne and Tamdhu and has also launched the bold and intense Smokehead Islay Single Malt.

Chieftain’s - named for the Celtic leaders - is an award-winning range of rare malts from Ian Macleod Distillers aimed at the whisky connoisseur. Each bottle label holds information on everything from wood type to vintage with some aged up to 50 years.
