Winning bid: £40

Facing Tobermory Distillery across the Sound of Mull, Nc’nean is situated on the Drimnin estate owned by Derek and Louise Lewis, the parents of distillery owner, Annabel Thomas. The name is an abbreviation of Neachneohain, known as the Queen of Spirits in Gaelic legend and a protector of nature. With the first whisky released in 2020, the aim was to produce a fruity spirit.

This is the second in the Quiet Rebels series, celebrating the people who make this whisky. As well as aiding towards the distillation process at Nc’nean, Lorna also grows tomatoes, courgettes & plants in the Stillhouse which has been converted into a greenhouse.
