For many years, Lincoln Henderson - who spent a lifetime crafting fine spirits - had toyed with an idea he shared with his son, Wes to start distilling a hand-crafted, small batch bourbon whiskey. When Wes’ son, Kyle became involved, Angel’s Envy began to grow as a successful family business. The process follows traditional methods of bourbon production rooted in 200 years of history and the final spirit was jokingly referred to as the “Angel’s Envy” suggesting the angels would want more than their 5% share taken by them in barrel aging. Today, the distillery is overseen by Louisville Distilling Company, part of Bacardi Limited.
This release was finished in Port wine casks and produced in small batches of 8 to 10 barrels at a time.
