Ardnamurchan AD/09.20:01 Inaugural Release & Tamnavulin Double Cask 2 x 70cl

Located upon the breathtaking Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan distillery is a comparatively new powerhouse which opened for production in 2014. Champions for green manufacturing, the distillery and all of its by-products are environmentally friendly and entirely sustainable. Ardnamurchan uses malt from Broomhill Farm and boasts two whisky styles; one peated and one unpeated, using American and European oak and ex-sherry casks as well as American oak ex-bourbon casks. 2024 will see the distillery celebrate its 10th birthday.

Tamnavulin was one of the distilleries built in the whisky boom of the early 1960s when demand was so far outstripping supply that new facilities had to be constructed. Tamnavulin Distillery was silent between 1995 and 2007. This 12 year gap in production meant that in recent times they have produced very little in the way of official bottlings.

Although the vast majority of their production goes into Whyte and Mackay’s blends, Tamnavulin was relaunched as a single malt in 2016 - to celebrate 50 years since the distillery was founded, the Double Cask expression was released. They now boast a range with various different cask finishes.
