Named due to the close relationship one of its three founders had with a Tunbridge Wells-based whisky shop of the same name, Master of Malt originally started trading in 1985 as an independent bottler to fulfil demand for single malt whiskies from the world’s finest distilleries.
The company then opened a physical store with a loyal small customer base, but at the start of the millennium, slowly moved to existing solely online which saw the company grow from strength to strength. They now have several different brands including ‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ and Atom Labs.
Taking its name from the days when cheaper gins would be topped u with water from the bath tap, (as the bottles were too tall to fit under the sink tap) Bathtub Gin is distilled using traditional methods and cold -compounded with exotic botanicals.
