Lot number: 177-01110

Winning bid: £60

Waterford Distillery is a major whisky project by the man behind the renaissance of Islay’s Bruichladdich. Situated on the banks of the river Suir, on Ireland’s sunny south-eastern coast, they have an exceptional state-of-the-art facility originally built by Diageo in 2004 and converted to distilling in 2015.

Waterford Distillery, known for its terroir-focused Irish whiskey, has entered receivership after struggling to secure additional funding. The distillery, which was launched in 2020, faced challenges including the Covid-19 pandemic, global cost-of-living crisis, and distribution issues. Interpath Advisory has been appointed as receivers, and they will now seek a buyer for the distillery and its whiskey stock

50% ABV / 70cl
