The most precious and rare vintage cognacs meet the know-how of jewellers, goldsmiths and aerospace engineers. For more than 160 years, Maison Camus has been a symbol that embodies aspiration and distinction. Founded in 1863 by the visionary Jean-Baptiste CAMUS, “La Grande Marque” has become the largest cognac house that proudly maintains its family ownership and independence.

In 1927 Edmond Camus was made a knight of the Legion of Honour. This prestigious decoration rewarded his commitment to serving the family business, the world of cognac, French exports and his fellow citizens. Still a family owned company, Camus sold mainly to the Tzars of Russia until the revolution. They managed to avoid bankruptcy in the 1960’s by striking a deal with American traders under the name of “Duty Free Shoppers”, a relationship which is as strong today as it was back in the 1960’s.
