One of the benchmark bourbons, Eagle Rare hails from the Buffalo Trace distillery. Each distillation is aged for no less than ten years and every barrel is selectively chosen to produce a consistent quality but with unique flavour personalities. This bourbon won a Gold Medal in the 2018 Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.
According to Buffalo Trace’s fact sheets, this Eagle Rare 17 year old bourbon is actually 19 years old. There were only 26 barrels of this bourbon batched for this release, making Eagle Rare 17 along with Sazerac 18 the rarest of this year’s collection.
