The first single malt whisky to be produced in Edinburgh for over a century. Unusually, this is an inaugural release for a closed distillery, the Chain Pier distillery in Granton.
Crabbie owners Halewood were producing small amounts of single malt spirit at this pilot distillery between 2018 and 2019 while they were constructing the Bonnington distillery. Only 39 casks were ever produced at this distillery, this is the first to be released, a 2019 distillation matured for 3 years in a heavily charred virgin oak cask.
