The Sansibar Whisky independent bottling company was started in Germany in 2012 devised by the organiser of the Whisky Fair Limburg, Carsten Ehrlich and CEO Jens Drewitz. The aim behind the business was to bottle quality Scottish single malts (and some rums) and market them with a link to the famous Sansibar restaurant on the north German island of Sylt. With only around sixty bottlings a year, this is quite an exclusive brand.
