Originally founded by Paul Currie, the Lakes Distillery is situated in the Lake District (as the name would suggest) as part of a converted old Victorian cattle farm and it takes its inspiration from the stunning landscape that surrounds it. The technology and hardware are state-of-the-art but the methods are as traditional as always in what they call a "holistic whisky making" process.
This release won an award for the distillery when it was voted as having produced the 'World's Best Single Malt' at the World Whisky Awards 2022.
Rather confusingly this edition is three sets of 100 bottles. Despite each set of bottles looking the same in every way, they are from three different casks.
