Woodrow’s of Edinburgh are a cask trader, a blender and an independent bottler. They also have their own bonded warehouse in Leith.
Founded by Woody Tan, an alumnus of Heriot Watt University having completed the Brewing and Distilling masters degree, starting as a whisky cask trader, they are used to buying casks without tasting any samples. Nevertheless, they always get samples drawn for their customers (usually other independent bottlers) so they know exactly what they are buying. They taste the samples themselves too! This is when they discover some incredible casks that are just too good to pass on. Therefore, they bottle these casks under “Warehouse Reserve”. They are always bottled at cask strength, unchill filtered and natural colour.
Woodrow’s of Edinburgh is fast gaining a reputation in the whisky community for bottling some real liquid gems.
