A very rare 10 year old from Morrison Bowmore bottled for the prestigious Prestonfield House, the five star hotel in Edinburgh.
Andrew Symington, who was assistant manager at Prestonfield House, wanted people to taste single malt whiskies at the hotel which where very uncommon at the time. He then started bottling malts under Prestonfield Whisky Company Ltd.
Andrew, along with his brother Brian then went on to form Signatory Vintage, putting into practice what they had learned at Prestonfield. So essentially the Prestonfield House range is a precursor to the Signatory range.
This label actually indicates the whisky was bottled for Signatory Vintage, making it one of the very early ones.
