HINE 1914 Vieille Grande Champagne Cognac

Thomas Hine was an English man travelled to France in 1763, in order to learn the process of cognac making. His name is now associated with some of the finest Cognacs in the world.

This historic vintage Cognac comes from the prestigious House of Hine, produced exclusively from grapes in the premier cru Grande Champagne terroir. Distilled in 1914 it is often referred to as the “Ladies’ Vintage” (L’année des dames).

World War I broke out in 1914; with most men being mobilised to the front, which meant the women cultivated the grape harvest, winemaking, and distillation. This all adds to it’s special historical significance.
