Remy Martin created a trading house in 1724 in the region of Charente in France. The family owned cognac business grew over time nationally and internationally as they first started exporting to China, Russia and the United States in 1910. The Remy Martin House continues to use traditional methods in successful production, under the ownership of the Remy Cointreau branch.
Remy Martin Extra is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged between 20 and 50 years old produced from grapes grown in Cognac’s top two regions, the Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne districts.
