A cognac brand first produced by Jules Gallois and Felix Courvoisier in the mid-19th century in the region of Charente in France - although their respective fathers Louis and Emmanuel had developed their brandy-making reputation during the Napoleonic Wars - Courvoisier was then bought by an English family who established the identity of the cognac with its recognisable Josephine bottle and Napoleon’s shadow as a logo. The cognac was notably prevalent in Charles Dickens’ spirit collection after his passing and was famously requested for the grand opening of the Eiffel Tower. Courvoisier now belongs to the Campari Group and continues to produce elegant and stylish cognacs.
These bottlings are a collaboration with British artist and designer Yinka Ilori, known for his bold use of bright colours and playful designs for furniture and public spaces.
