Originally a licenced grocer based in Edinburgh’s New Town district, Hill Thomson & Co began blending and bottling its own label whiskies including the bestselling Queen Anne and Something Special blends. It became a part of Pernod Ricard when Seagram sold off its wine and spirits operation in 2001.
A Scotch whisky whose name says it all, Something Special contains the finest Speyside malt whiskies, giving it its unmistakeable smoky sweetness. First created in 1912, Something Special is steadily winning over discerning connoisseurs in new markets, making it one of the top premium Scotches in Latin America. This blended whisky contains a high proportion of Longmorn. And that’s a good thing!
