The Stirling family have been farming at Arbikie for four generations. From father to son, they have gained an intuitive understanding of the land; sowing and harvesting the crops that are distilled to create Arbikie’s range of field to bottle spirits. Farming in the Stirling family goes back even further - since before 1660, initially on Scotland’s west coast.
Founded by three brothers John, Iain and David, Arbikie is a single-estate distillery meaning that not only does all of the production take place on the site, but all the ingredients are also grown on the farm. With the backdrop of the Angus hills, pure water flows into Arbikie Highland Estate’s underground lagoon where they eventually draw it to distill their spirits.
They are also the first to make a Scottish Rye whisky in over 200 years.
