When Rupert Patrick decided to use his great-great grandfather’s name, James Eadie in his new venture, he started by looking through old ledgers and tracking down forgotten blends. James Eadie was born near Gleneagles establishing his brewing and bottling business in 1854 and his whisky was known as “an ancient Scotch mixture that was dispensed to a favoured few”. Reviving the old blend, Patrick invited one of Scotland’s finest Master Blenders, Norman Mathison to bring his ancestor’s whisky back to life. The company is now establishing itself as a single cask and small batch independent bottler.

This 9 year old BenRiach is one of only 280 bottles within this release and has been finished beautifully in a sherry cask, creating a lovely warming dram with layered sweetness to complement the vintage and is sure to go down a treat with any whisky lover.
