Octomore 16.2 Edition 5 Year Old The Impossible Equation

This ongoing series from Bruichladdich is the most heavily peated whisky in the world. Named after James Brown’s farm that is situated above Port Charlotte, this Brobdingnagian whisky deftly lives up to its description as, “The iron fist in the velvet glove”.

Using the same batch of Scottish barley malted to the same 101.4ppm, this release was matured in a selection of Oloroso Sherry and Bordeaux casks and finished in Madeira and Portuguese Moscatel.
