A bottle of Glen Olo, a blended malt whisky from one of London’s oldest wine bars. El Vino at 47 Fleet Street, originally founded as Bower and Co. in 1879 and renamed El Vino in 1923.
El Vino is a popular local wine bar and bursting with character and a colourful history. It once used to be famously frequented by journalists when many national newspapers were based nearby, It was also involved in a 1982 court case where women fought to be served at the bar.
This is a vatting of malt whiskies at a minimum of 10 years old, and further matured in Oloroso sherry casks. We estimate this was bottled in the 1970s.
