Knob Creek was produced to represent whiskey before it was created on a mass-production scale and is a high-rye percentage bourbon. In the 1990s, Master Distiller Booker Noe first created the whiskey to have a full flavour in an effort to replicate a pre-Prohibition spirit; since then, Knob Creek has had several different releases to showcase the experimentation at the Jim Beam distillery.
