The people behind the Ardgowan Distillery have ambitious plans to create a distillery and visitor centre on the grounds of the Ardgowan Estate near Inverkip, west of Glasgow.

While they are waiting, they have released a blend of whiskies selected by Master Whisky Maker Max McFarlane and thus the Clydebuilt label was born. The first of these whiskies is Coppersmith.
