Forest Whisky 12 Year Old
Lot number: 180-01987
Winning bid: £50
Glentauchers was designed by Charles Doig and founded in 1897 by James Buchanan to provide malt whisky for his successful Black & White Blend. These days it is used by Pernod Ricard to train new members of staff in the basics of whisky production; as such, the distillery is as hands-on and mechanical as possible. The spirit itself is now a named component of the Ballantine’s blend and - although mainly seen bottled by Gordon & MacPhail - a single malt has been released in recent years.
This release from Forest Whisky was bottled using Wade ceramics.
Distilled: October 2008
Age: 12 Years Old
Cask Type: Moscatel Wine Cask
46.5% ABV / 70cl
Bottle Number: 067 / 316
