Lot number: 180-04115

Winning bid: £280

Formed after Fred and Stewart Laing parted ways in 2013, Hunter Laing is under ownership of the latter and his two sons. The company took over Edition Spirits and began releasing their First Editions series. Since the demerger, Hunter Laing claimed the following ranges: Old Malt Cask; Old and Rare Selection; and the Sovereign.

The First Editions range from Hunter Laing’s Edition Spirits branch consists of single barrel cask strength expressions carefully selected to reflect the characteristics of a rare and collectable work of literature. The Authors’ Series release dedicates bottles to a particular literary figure and features a photograph or illustration of them on the label.

This bottle is number 37, Marcel Proust, part of the First Editions Authors’ Series.
