Lot number: 180-04314

Winning bid: £95

Justerini & Brooks is a fine wine and spirits merchant founded in St. James’s in 1749, originally to provide wine and spirits to the aristocratic households of London. The firm has been a supplier to every British monarch since the coronation of King George III in 1761. In 1749, Italian Giacomo Justerini travelled to London to try to win the heart of famous opera singer, Margherita Bellino; despite failing to do this, he stayed in the capital and established a wine merchant with George Johnson. In 1831, the business was acquired by Alfred Brooks and thus the name was born.

Skillfully blended from a total of 128 individual single malt and grain whiskies including North Port, Convalmore, Brora, Coleburn, Port Ellen, Dallas Dhu and Rosebank to name a few, the result is a perfectly balanced and truly unique whisky.
