The Ladyburn Distillery was built in 1966 in the south west of Ayrshire by William Grant & Sons Ltd. Strictly speaking the four stills were built inside the the Girvan grain distillery. The final production took place on November 15, 1975. Ladyburn has only been bottled on two occasions by its owner. Independent bottlings are equally a rare find. it occasionally goes by the names Rare Ayrshire or Ayrshire.
