With its distinctive square bottle, its label angled precisely at 24° and the iconic Striding Man, Johnnie Walker is the world’s best selling Scotch whisky retailing more than 20 million cases a year. It was first created in Kilmarnock in 1865 and is now available in almost every country in the world with the establishment of significant ‘Houses’ across Asia. Between 1906 & 1909 John Walker’s grandsons introduced the colour names which the bottles still bear to this day with the Blue Label - introduced in 1992 - being the rarest.
Probably the rarest stocks of Johnnie Walker were used in this almost impossible to obtain bottling. A vatting of whiskies all distilled in 1947 and bottled fifty years later in 1997 after a period of double maturation in port-treated oak casks.
