Fielden Harvest 2020 Rye

Fielden Whisky, based in Yorkshire, are on a mission to change the way grains are farmed for use in Whisky, with a focus on diversifying crops while minimising inputs such as energy and water. That means no artificial agrichemicals, no herbicides, no pesticides, no fungicides, no fertilisers. There’s no need for chemicals because they’re working with nature, and not against it. It’s a more sustainable way of farming that’s better for the soil, the water, the wildlife, and the planet. It’s better for the whisky, too, which is full of flavour.

They are now building a fully automated distillery in Yorkshire and scaling the warehousing to house 12,000 maturing casks of whisky by March 2030. In the new distillery, they’re changing the distilling process to get the very best flavours from the heritage grains. They will continue to use a combination of pot and column stills – while minimising inputs such as energy, water and time.
